The Importance of Leadership
Children do not chart courses; it is sons who chart courses on the earth. Leaders champion courses on the earth. Leadership is what controls the whole heaven and the earth. Your personal problem does not solve the real problem; but when the real problem is solved, your personal problem will be solved.
Everlasting men are a kind – the God-kind – of leadership God has been waiting for because to them has God given the earth. The kind of leaders God is waiting for are not those who will be known by their cars or their possessions. The leaders God awaits are those who will have authority to tamper with structures; whose walk and conversation on the earth will do damage to the status quo on the earth.
The Document of Leadership
We must sit down with the document of the message of everlasting life, if we must be raised leaders who will affect the earth, not just the Church. The way of the Lord must be raised in men first (like in Moses and Jesus) before it can become a way that men will walk in. Leadership must be first crafted in men before such men can lead others. Leaders, as God offers, are shepherds – leaders by example not the world model of leadership which is forced on men.
Num. 27:16 – Let the LORD, the God of the spirits of all flesh, set a man over the congregation, 17 Which may go out before them, and which may go in before them, and which may lead them out, and which may bring them in; that the congregation of the LORD be not as sheep which have no shepherd.
Act 1:21 – Wherefore of these men which have companied with us all the time that the Lord Jesus went in and out among us, 22 Beginning from the baptism of John, unto that same day that he was taken up from us, must one be ordained to be a witness with us of his resurrection.
Mat 20:25 – But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Ye know that the princes of the Gentiles exercise dominion over them, and they that are great exercise authority upon them. 26 But it shall not be so among you: but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister; 27 And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant:
The True Leader
The strength of a leader is not in how much he conceals but in how much he issues out. A true leaders cannot never dry up; if he does, then, he is not a leader. Shaping the is not difficult when true leaders in the order of God arise in every sphere of human endeavour as they are God’s workmen.
Isa 61:4 – And they shall build the old wastes, they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall repair the waste cities, the desolations of many generations.
Under God’s kind of leaders, they will change and transform souls. However, there has to be followership – keen followers of God.
Men as Mentors
The way to follow Jesus is to follow men! There must be men who are over you as leaders whom you can wholly follow. By the reason of your age (spiritual understanding) and growth, your positioning must give men direction and influence things around you. In the midst of the oppressive reign of the Roman Government, God raised Jesus to put an end to that order.
Be a Responsible Leader
Do not think about yourself in isolation; think about yourself in line with what God will use you to do. God wants you to come to a point in life where you will know how to handle God’s matters and issues which will be your concern. When you are a leader and you say people should not look at you; that is not humility but irresponsibility. In the issue of providing leadership, we must also be able to look out for areas of involvement to contribute our own quota.
In addition, in all we do, we must allow God be the Captain of our Souls.
